SDCC Cosplays

I can't believe how close SDCC is. I am still on the edge of my seat...wondering if I will be able to attend. I have my plane tickets...I have my hotel...I have my passes...I just have things that could change my plans in a blink of an eye.

So, on my last free day...I decided to get all my cosplay artifacts together to see what I still needed to take care of.

Friday (July 25th), I will cosplay a non Avatar character ~ Jenny (The Doctor's Daughter). My friend Kevin Coppa and I will be cosplaying together for optimum effect. Actually, his cosplay will really make mine more noticeable. Without him by my side, I will just look like a chick in tight pants, sporting a military belt and combat boots

I threw together a quick Mini cosplay just to get an idea of what still needs to be done for Jenny. One, I have to dye my hair about 4 shades blonder. Also, I need to keep my hair parted on the opposite side. Lastly, I need to wear a hair extension. I cut my hair to make it easier to wear my Painted Lady wig. This was before I decided to cosplay a Doctor Who character. Does anyone know a good place online to order realistic ponytail extensions? I have a few leads, but I thought I would ask some fellow cosplayers for their suggestions too.

Here is my mini cosplay for comparison. The first picture is Jenny from Doctor Who.

As I mentioned, my hair color will be going blonder...and my bangs will be styled in the same way.

Wish me luck that I can pull this cosplay off ^_^ I actually feel that this one is harder than others that I have done because of her simplicity. The cosplay is more about actual physical attributes, and personality than elaborate costuming. ::bites nails::

Oh thank you. I really wanted to play Donna originally, but when this character was introduced, she was just the right stature and look for me to pull off.

I still need to decide on a gun to carry to complete the character.

I really, really, really hope your SDCC plans won't change! People will be missing out on meeting such a nice gal.

I've never seen Doctor Who, but your "collaborative" cosplay with a close friend sounds like FUN TO THE MAX!

Ohh, PLEASE don't forget to try to get pictures of you two on your own camera as well.

And I agree--you definitely picked a GREAT character. I know you'll be able to catch all the physical details to make it a great cosplay!

She is SOOO gonna come up again in the series. She is out there...in a spaceship...on the loose! I love it ^_^

Me too! I keep praying to the geek fairies to grant my wish, and allow me some solace so that I can make it to SDCC to see my friends. It's really one of the only times I can see my friends...all in the same city ^_^

Right now...it looks good. So I am holding my breath until the day I get on that plane ^_^

Looks like your progress is doing great! You can 100% pull this off! And especially with Kevin as your cosplay buddie both of your costumes would look awesome!

But for reals, SDCC is only 32 days away! *squeel*

Hahah that'll be awesome. She was a great character, I'm excited to see more of her. I'm SO excited for next week's episode. "Turn Left" was great...I'm foaming at the mouth of Rose's real return! I've missed her.
