February (2011) is the month that Dark Horse Comics announced their plans to publish future stories, thus continuing the legacy. February 2013, Dark Horse announced the digital availability of their Avatar the Last Airbender installments. This news is especially exciting for all the fans who had wanted digital copies from the beginning.
Digital versions of the Dark Horse comics can be purchased online, eReader, or via your mobile device.
Additionally, Dark Horse announced they are publishing another beautiful Avatar universe art book. The next book will be dedicated to the art of the first season of The Legend of Korra, and is due to release July 2013 (hopefully in time for SDCC).
Bryan Konietzko has stated that the current cover was used for promotional reasons, and the official cover is still in the works
Speaking of Korra, another February anniversary belongs to Korra Nation. Korra Nation was launched to help keep fans of the series updated and immersed in the new storyline. Via Facebook and Tumblr, Korra Nation publishes not only updates, but also celebrates the fans (something I appreciate deeply). If you have not joined Korra Nation yet, you can create a personal account, friend them on Facebook, or follow them on Tumblr. Your account qualifies you to be a part of their many contests. Their past contests have awarded coveted merchandise, videos, sketches, and even a chance to see the premier before the air date. Original sketches created by artists currently involved in the production were also sent to past winners.
Some of you may recall the massive Korra Nation Link List (meme) that was reblogged about a year ago on Tumblr. Those links are still working, and each time you click someone's personal link, they earn a point for current Korra Nation promotions. Feel free to reblog with your own links, and maybe we can get this train rolling again for the next promotion Korra dreams up

Thanks for the head's up ^_^
